Investigation Launched on Radontek Medikal İthalat İhracat San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. (7.9.2017)

The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted in response to the application claiming that Radontek Medikal İthalat İhracat San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., which operates as the distributor of some of the devices for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in Turkey, abused its dominant position in the aftermarket by setting high prices related to the supply of spare parts to undertakings that want to submit bids in tenders organized by hospitals and by means of price discrimination.

After discussing the information, documents and findings acquired in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 09.08.2017, the Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 17-26/401-M to launch an investigation on Radontek Medikal İthalat İhracat San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. in order to determine whether the undertaking in question violated article 6 of the Act no 4054.
