The investigation conducted about the claim that OGM Prodüksiyon ve Medya Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi (OGM), which operates in the production of creative content such as series, and films and Startv Medya Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi (STAR TV), which operates in national TV broadcasting, violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition (the Act no 4054) through a production and broadcasting agreement, whose term exceeded five years and which included mutual exclusivity provisions, was concluded with commitment procedure in terms of the mentioned parties. Accordingly, the parties committed that

• The exclusivity provisions in the Exclusive Production and Broadcasting Cooperation Agreement dated 11.02.2022 signed between OGM and STAR TV shall be terminated,
• In line with this OGM shall be free to produce content for other channels and platforms other than STAR TV; STAR TV shall be able to make agreements with other producers apart from OGM related to prime time series content.

The Board decided on 28.08.2025 that the commitments submitted are able to solve the competitive problems detected within the scope of the file, quickly realizable and efficiently applicable; thus they shall be accepted and rendered binding for OGM and STAR TV, and the investigation about OGM and STAR TV shall be terminated according to article 43(3) of the Act no 4054.
