Within the scope of the preliminary inquiry conducted according to the Competition Board decision dated 20.11.2025 and numbered 25-43/1037-M concerning the suspicion that EssilorLuxottica S.A. (ESSI-LUX) violated article 4 and 6 of the Act No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, it has been decided to open an investigation about ESSI-LUX due to the suspicion that ESSI-LUX has created de facto exclusivity via various practices in the markets for the wholesale of ophthalmic lenses, wholesale of contact lenses as well as the production and distribution of ophthalmic machine equipment and consumables.
