The Competition Board (the Board) concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted about the claim that May-Agro Tohumculuk San. ve Tic. AŞ (MAY TOHUM) violated article 4 of the Act No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition (the Act No. 4054) by means of restricting territories/customers of its buyers.
Having discussed the information and documents obtained and observations made during the preliminary inquiry on its meeting on 31.12.2025, the Board considered the findings significant and sufficient and took the decision No. 25-50/1235-M to initiate an investigation about MAY TOHUM to determine whether it violated article 4 of the Act No. 4054 by means of practices such as determining the resale prices and restricting territories/customers of its buyers.
MAY TOHUM operates in the production and sale of primarily sunflower, corn, cotton, sweet corn, bean, processing tomato and spinach seeds.
