Investigation concerning the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies Initiated (22.7.2019)

The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry concerning the claims that the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies violated article 4 of the Act no. 4054 by means of its decisions and practices related to allocating hajj quotas and determining the security for agencies making hajj and umrah organizations.

After discussing the information and documents acquired and observations made during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 27.06.2019, the Competition Board concluded that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no. 19-23/360-M to initiate an investigation into whether the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies violated article 4 of the Act no. 4054.
