The Competition Board (Board) concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted into the allegation that Adkoturk Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (ADKOTURK) violated the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by abusing its dominant position in the instant noodle market through practices involving obstruction of the activities of its rivals and foreclosure of the market to competitors, as well as maintenance of the resale prices of its buyers, restriction of active and passive sales by its dealers and imposition of non-compete obligations with indefinite durations on its dealers.

After examining the information and documents acquired and the observations made during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 23.09.2026, the Board decided that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision numbered 26-35/988-M to launch an investigation on (ADKOTURK).

In addition, interim measures were adopted with respect to some practices of ADKOTURK

Accordingly, as per Article 9.4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition, in order to prevent any competition infringements and     resulting unrecoverable damages that might occur in the relevant product market, an interim measure decision has been taken, pending the final decision, to prevent the provision of free products, delisting budgets (i.e. budgets allocated for discontinuing the sale of competing products), activity budgets, visibility support, and similar commercial advantages to the points of sale. 

ADKOTURK operates in the production, sale and distribution of the Indomie and Supermie brands within the instant noodle market.
