Investigation launched on seven undertakings operating in the seed market (4.6.2025)

The Competition Board (the Board) concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted about the claim that undertakings operating in field crops seed sector violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition (the Act no 4054) by means of allocation of territories/customers and exchanging competitively sensitive information. 
Having discussed the information, documents acquired and observations made in the preliminary inquiry in its meeting on 22.05.2025, the Board considered the evidence significant and sufficient and took the decision no 25-20/478-M to open an investigation about

  • KWS Türk Tarım Tic. AŞ, 
  • Limagrain Tohum Islah ve Üretim San. ve Tic. AŞ, 
  • May-Agro Tohumculuk San. ve Tic. AŞ, 
  • Monsanto Gıda ve Tarım Tic. Ltd. Şti., 
  • Polen Tohumculuk San. ve Tic. AŞ ve
  • Syngenta Tarım San. ve Tic. AŞ

to determine whether they violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 by means of exchanging competitively sensitive information.
