Professional Development Program for the Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States (17.2.2026)

Within the framework of developing the cooperation between the Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States, the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA), in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), organized the “Professional Development Program on Competition Law” between February 9–13, 2026. The program in question was attended by professional staff from the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Hungarian Competition Authority, and the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the program held at the TCA headquarters, detailed presentations were delivered on the scope and implementation of the Act No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition, cartels and other restrictive agreements, abuse of dominance, merger and acquisition control, on-site inspection procedures and techniques, as well as settlement and commitment mechanisms. In addition, information regarding TCA’s organizational structure, decision-making processes, and recent Board decisions across various sectors was shared with the participants.

The presentations made and the information shared by our professional staff contributed to strengthening institutional cooperation and enhancing experience exchange among the competition authorities of the participating countries. In line with the importance attached to international cooperation, it is envisaged that similar training programs and joint activities with competition authorities will continue to expand in the period ahead.
