The “Recent Developments Symposium,” organized by Competition Authority and hosted by Boğaziçi University Innovation Center, will be held on May 5, 2026.

The opening speech of the symposium will be delivered by our Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Hakan BİLİR.

At the event, where recent developments in competition law will be discussed, four separate sessions will be held with contributions from experts in their fields:

• Merger/acquisition and investment trends in the automotive sector
• Competition law practices in the visual media sector
• The relationship between competition law and industrial property law
• The relationship between copyright, collective rights, and competition law

Additionally, Department Heads M. Ömür PAŞAOĞLU and Buket ARI AYDIN; Deputy Department Heads Ezgi EREN BİRDANE and Derya ERMİŞ as well as Assistant Competition Expert Sıla YALÇIN MELETLİ will contribute to the symposium with their presentations.
