The investigation about Meta Platforms Inc. (previously Facebook Inc.), Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (previously Facebook Ireland Limited), WhatsApp LLC and Madoka Turkey Bilişim Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti. conducted about the claim that they violated article 6 of the Act no 4054 was concluded.

As a result of the discussion of the file on 20.10.2022 by the Competition Board, it was decided that FACEBOOK distorted competition by complicating the activities of its competitors operating in personal social network services and online display advertising markets and creating barriers to entry by means of combining data collected from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp services, which are called core services, and violated Article 6 of the Act no 4054; thus, the said undertaking shall be imposed administrative fines.
