Ayşe Ergezen was born in Balıkesir, Gönen, in 1980. She finished her primary education, which she started in Tripoli due to her father’s post, in Gönen and her secondary education in İstanbul.   In 2004, she graduated from the Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration - Management Information Systems, after which she studied International Trade at Jönköping University in Sweden.  She received her master’s degree in the field of Global Politics at Bahçeşehir University and attended Diplomacy courses at the University of Oxford. 

She started her career as a manager at Finansbank. Afterwards she set up her own business. During this time she was elected as a member to the Municipal Council in Ümraniye, İstanbul. In 2009, she was appointed as Advisor to the Prime Minister. She ran for a seat at the Parliament from the province of Balıkesir in June 2015 general elections.

Mrs. Ergezen has taken active roles in several non-governmental organizations. In chronological order, those are: Vice-Presidency of Üsküdar City Council, Chief Representative of Women and Democracy Association (KADEM) as well as Executive Board Memberships of KADEM and Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV). Currently, she is still a Substitute Member of the Executive Board of KADEM, the Vice-President of the Turkish Chess Federation, and a member of the General Assembly of TÜRGEV. In addition, she is one of the founders of the July 15 Foundation and is currently a member of its Executive Board.
In March 2016, she was appointed as the Deputy Undersecretary (Acting) of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, where she continued to serve as the Deputy Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services, having been appointed to that post on July 25, 2018. During her term, she coordinated and helped realize several works aimed at Families, Children, Women, Persons with Disabilities, Elderly, Relatives of Martyrs and Veterans, which constitute the cornerstones of the society. She was appointed as a Board Member of the Competition Authority on December 26, 2019.

Being fluent in English, Ayşe Ergezen is married with 4 children.
