Buket ARI AYDIN

Vice President

Buket Arı Aydın joined the Competition Authority in 2011 as an Assistant Competition Expert, where she subsequently served as Competition Expert, Deputy Head of Department, and Head of Department. Prior to her appointment at the Turkish Competition Authority, Ms. Arı Aydın served as a Public Prosecutor in Düzce, and as a Turkish lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Ms. Arı Aydın graduated from the Faculty of Law at Galatasaray University.  She completed an LL.M in European and French Law at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne under the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, specializing in competition policy.  She also holds a master’s degree in International Private Law from the Institute of Social Sciences at Ankara University.

Fluent in French and English, Ms. Arı Aydın was appointed Vice President of the Competition Authority in September 2026.
